Massachusetts: discounted college educations for illegal aliens?

Mr. Patrick:

You support in-state tuition rates for illegal aliens. [1]

Since there are only a finite number of discounted college educations available, every single discount that goes to an illegal alien represents a discount that was taken away from a U.S. citizen.

What would you say to a U.S. citizen who can't go to college because legislation you support took their discount and gave it to a foreign citizen who's here illegally?

Alternate questions:
Won't this provide yet another incentive for illegal aliens to move to Massachusetts?
Won't this make matters even worse, in that more illegal aliens will come, creating an even greater call from politicians such as yourself to give discounts to illegal aliens?
Won't it be yet another subsidy from taxpayers to the corrupt companies that employ illegal aliens?
Doesn't taking something from a citizen in order to give it to someone who's here illegally devalue U.S. citizenship?

[1] From their debate:
[Questioner:] Let's turn if we can to the hot button issue of immigration and how illegal immigrants in Massachusetts should be treated. Lt. Gov. Healey, state lawmakers passed a measure last year to allow illegals to pay in-state tuition rates at public colleges and Gov. Romney vetoed that. If you're elected and that same measure ends up on your desk, what would you do?
[Patrick response:] Well I think we differ on this issue, although I will say I think this is one issue where I think both sides have a point. The folks on the other side of the question from where I am say we should only reward people who play by the rules and they're right. I understand that immigration is a serious problem, it requires a serious response. It requires some candor. People are not coming here for in-state tuition, they're coming here for jobs.
